Jervis Bay Airfield Wildlife Fence, Shoalhaven, NSW – Jervis Bay Airfield – Augility for Department of Defence

Fencing Australia Pty Ltd installed a purpose built wildlife fence around the Jervis Bay Airfield for the Department of Defence.  The fence was 8kms long with entrance and emergency access gates strategically located around the fence.

The fence and gates were designed to stop airside access by large animals so that aircraft operations could take place 24 hours per day without the risk of animal strikes.
The work was carried out under stringent environmental conditions and included clearing of fence lines using GPS equipped machinery and construction of access roads along fence lines to allow maintenance of grounds.
Fencing Australia developed and had approved Environmental Clearance Certificates. Method of Work Plans, Construction Environmental Management Plans and Safety and Quality Plans.
